August 2024 Friends of Unity blog hop Cherished Friendships

Hello my friends! I’m so happy to see you joining in on the fun today. Our Friends of Unity blog hop for August is all about Friends and friendship. I can’t find the adequate words to describe the amount of beautiful friendships I have made through crafting…especially in the Unity stamp company community. The love and kindness that the members and business owners have shown me is beyond heartwarming, I am forever grateful.

Anywho…..

What an exciting month it has been already! Vacations, campfires, time with friend and family….it couldn’t get any better, right?!? I agree. There is just something so special about finding a person that can see your heart clearly…even through all the mud and muck that life brings our way. Those people…yep…they are keepers for life! I pray that you have at least one of those special relationships in your life…they truly are a blessing.

Now on to the hop. I have three cards for you this month so I will try and make this short and sweet🤞🏻🤞🏻

For this first card I used the Echo of Kindness stamp set by Unity. Isn’t she precious? She is so versatile….birthdays, thank you’s, thinking of you, valentine day, sympathy cards…and it fits so well for friendship cards doesn’t it?!?

This cute stamp set paired with the rustic feel of the paper packs made creating this card easier than it appears.

The Big and regular scalloped rectangular die sets work wonderfully together as well. I used the center of the Big scalloped die set and then the frame dies from the regular set.

This layout was created for a new sketch challenge by Crystal at Tawny Owl Paperie.

This next picture and the one directly below are displaying the full creation in all its glory. I usually decorate the inside of the card but the sentiment seemed to be adequate for this card.

Ok…on to the second card.

Sending you Hugs -

This card was made with the Hydrangea Love stamp set which is in the June 2024 Whit Kit. Isn’t it beautiful? The depth of interest that is captured in this stamp is amazing. It’s a colorist’s dream come true.

The die sets I used are Unity’s Scallops & Arches nesting dies and Penny Blacks XOXO die set. The beautiful paper that was used is called Hydrangea Harmony from the same Whit Kit.

I used my Prismacolor pencils with this image because I was afraid that my steadiness of hand wasn’t as advanced as it needs to be to use copic markers. I’m positive I would have diminished the beautiful detail offered in this flower by using markers. (But that’s just me…you do you my friends💛)

I stamped the inside panel with the hydrangea stamp for continuity. The sentiment is from CZ designs Besties stamp set.

That’s the end for the second card, on to the last card

Love is the Bridge

This card was the simplest out of the three for me, only because it came in an awesome brown paper bag as an appreciation gift from Unity that accompanied my stamp order. The designer paper is from the Unity paper pack called Field of Summer.

The dies are scalloped squares from Unity and also from Gina Marie designs.

The sunflower stamp for the inside panel is from the August 2020 Kit of the month.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you for joining us on this friendship hop. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment below. I will answer them as quickly as I’m able. I pray you are enjoying the adventure of the blog hop today. Stay safe my friends💕
